The beauty of the oval-cut diamond is that is has just as many facets as the most optimized modern cut—the round brilliant with 58 facets, that is—which means it has the capacity to sparkle just as much. In technical terms, this cut displays just as much brilliance, fire, and scintillation. Aesthetically, the look is not only a romantic vintage homage, but gives the appearance of elongated fingers when worn. For the bride that wants to stand out with something on trend yet classic, the oval diamond solitaire is an elegant and out-of-the-ordinary choice, solitaire meaning jewelry set with a single diamond. It is understandable how the Oval cut has become the most popular cut of the modern bride.
This Oval Diamond Engagement Ring made by Spectra Fine Jewelry in the 21st century, 2018, is simply exquisite. Crafted in platinum, the minimalist design features an oval brilliant-cut diamond with an estimated weight of 11.19 carats. The diamond is accompanied by report no. 1162005860 dated April 11, 2014, from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) stating it is of D color and VVS1 clarity, or nearly internally flawless. The center stone is held with 4 double talon prongs, a dramatic yet subtle detail that points to the center of the stone and signifies luxury and fine artisanship. Talon claws or prongs are elongated polished claws that narrow to a fine point, shaped like talons on birds of prey. A talon-shaped claw can provide added security for the jewel and is more prevalent for setting large diamonds and gemstones.
A D-color diamond is the ultimate in colorless perfection. When combined with its nearly internally flawless clarity, the exceptional stone is positively sublime. In fact, the diamond received a “type IIa” classification from the GIA, and the certificate is included with the grading report. According to the GIA, type II diamonds contain little if any nitrogen and they are quite rare (less than 2% of all gem diamonds). Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamond and often have exceptional optical transparency. Type IIa diamonds were first identified as originating from India, and among famous gem diamonds, the 106.50 carat Koh-i-noor is in the same type IIa class is the diamond in this ring. Mike drop.
Do you want to be in the elite company or even surpass Kourtney Kardashian, Blake Lively, and Hailey Bieber who all sport spectacular oval diamonds? To say that the size of the diamond in this ring is significant at 18.58 x 12.46 x 7.53 mm is an understatement. In proportion to the finger, this diamond makes quite an impact, and the beautiful brilliance, fire, and scintillation of this rare beauty is superb beyond measure.
