De Grisogono Black Diamond Button Earrings

The strong look of these high contrast gold and black diamond button earrings stylistically proclaims 1940s glamour; however, they were made in the Contemporary era, circa 2010s by Geneva-based De Grisogono, founded in 1993. Pieces from this luxury jewelry company conjure elegance and rarity, and often feature black diamonds, the jewelry house’s signature stone. This mirror-image pair of lily-inspired earrings are designed as expressive yet mysterious flowers that recall the fluidity found in Georgia O’Keeffe paintings. They are crafted in 18k yellow gold with delicate striations in the metal [can’t tell from the photo if they are striations, if not replace with “delicate swells in the metal”] to describe the organic forms and set with 100 black diamonds weighing an approximate total of 1.63 carats. The earrings are clip back but can be changed to a post option for pierced ears.
