Contemporary Ruby and Diamond Articulated Bracelet Inspired by French Haute Joaillerie and Art Moderne

All good things come in French Haute Joaillerie and Art Moderne packages, and this Contemporary Ruby and Diamond Articulated Bracelet, made in the 21st century, emulates both jewelry styles in a keenly observed and well-crafted manner. Art Moderne was a later phase of Art Deco that developed in France in the 1930s. The bracelet emphasizes simple geometry, incorporating curving forms and long horizontal lines, much like the notable architecture of the period. Approximately twenty-three articulated links crafted in 18K yellow gold display 41 beautiful round faceted red rubies. The fluid, continuous line of rubies is accented with scalloped gold bezels on top and bottom, leaving the midpoints of each faceted round to connect like a rich mosaic of gemstones visually.

The bracelet displays a simple geometric buckle motif which culminates in a V shape as the focal point at the center front. The buckle and length of the bracelet are accented around the border with round brilliant-cut white diamonds set in a textured gold pavé setting style that recalls the richness of some of the finest French Maisons. The bracelet appears to close at the front by sliding into the linear length into the overlapped buckle; however, this is a beautifully conceived and crafted illusion.
