Contemporary Green Diamond Pave Cocktail Bombe Ring

When it comes to engagement rings, Jennifer Lopez has had a very colorful past. The captivating sparkle of this Contemporary Green Diamond Pavé Bombé Cocktail Ring, made in the 21st century, is even more of-the-moment than the Pantone Color of the Year, which in 2022 was Veri Peri (periwinkle blue) and not Sparkling Green.

The ring is crafted in 18K white gold and features 10 round brilliant-cut green diamonds with an estimated weight of 1.00 carat total. The particular hue of stones could not be more compelling and unusual. Each stone is set in a teardrop-shape bezel surround, beautifully spaced in three rows across a sparkling pavé-diamond expanse that continues partway around the fabulously volumetric bombé band. The total weight of round brilliant-cut pavé diamonds is an estimated 2.50 carats. The look of the ring is lush like an opulent textured wallpaper or Byzantine tapestry. The domed bombé style with its attention-grabbing shape and more surface area for embellishment conveys a tactilely pleasing opulence. The gorgeous patterning continues on the inside of the ring, this time comprising repeating teardrop and diamond shapes in contrasting 18K yellow gold, reserved as a special detail just for the wearer.

Any diamond that exhibits a color beyond the D-Z color range is exceptionally rare with only one in every 10,000 colorless diamonds deemed a fancy color diamond. The green color is in fact caused by exposure to atomic radiation. Most commonly the stone receives enough radiation to develop a thin layer of green color on the surface.
