Description

When contemplating a fabulous diamond bracelet to add to your jewelry collection, it is important to consider all options. There are diamond bangles, cuffs, diamond mesh bracelets, diamond charm bracelets, eternity, tennis, and so many more. If you are drawn to the opulence of the Jazz age, you might consider a diamond articulated bracelet composed of multiple plaques or sections that display a repeating geometric design. If you want to stay within the Art Deco period, but want something a bit more minimalist, then a diamond line bracelet might suit your smart style. The diamond line bracelet, as it was known when it appeared in the 1920s, was simple but richly elegant featuring a single flexible strand of diamonds, all matching in size.

The piece evolved to be called an eternity bracelet, because it featured an endless flow of jewels around the wrist, again of all the same size, cut, and gemstone. Today an eternity bracelet is more widely known as a tennis bracelet, owing to singles fashion icon, Chris Evert, who lost hers during an early round match at the US Open in 1978 and insisted on pausing play until it was found. Some variation exists with respect to settings including prong, channel, and bezel. The classic tennis bracelet is the most adaptable accessory a woman can own. It is a rare piece of luxurious design that can look both formal and effortless at the same time. If you already have a few or want to move directly to a unique variation-on-a-theme, this jazzy piece looks like a diamond line-eternity-tennis bracelet from a distance, but up close, the design details are dazzling.

Made in the 21st century, 2019, the 7-inch (17.78 cm) bracelet is crafted in 18K white gold, set with 104 round brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing an estimated total of 5.2 carats. Each diamond is estimated at 0.05 carat, most with H-I color and VS-SI clarity. The diamonds are set with prongs in groupings of four within beautiful articulated boxed settings-of-sorts. The stones are bordered on two sides with highly polished white gold scroll motifs and divided down the middle with a decorative bar. The settings are open at back, including the eight stones set on either side of the hidden push clasp, to allow light to flow through the diamonds and maximize their sparkle. Like an eternity bracelet, the clasp does not interrupt the flow of stones. Like an articulated bracelet from the 1920s, each segment is flexible, to comfortably hug the wrist and allow you to dazzle, on the court or off.

Measures approx. 7” in length. 104 round diamonds, each weighing approx. is 0.05 carats. Diamond weight approx. 5.20 carats total; estimated H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Overall weight approx. 23.28 grams, made in 14k white gold. Circa 2010.
